life captured in still images

The old cliche can still ring true, "a picture speaks a thousand words." These stills can help to paint a portrait of myself and my own world as experienced in San Francisco, college in Iowa, and beyond. Take your time viewing my world, and maybe, if you are lucky, my world will wink back at you.

newcar - I got my new car in July of 2002, a 2003 Eclipse GTS. This is the first picture of it.

snowlot - The winter of 2001-2002 was the winter that had almost no snow for us! Here's a picture of when it finally snowed in Jan/February, as seen from my Ames apartment window.

party time - Myself, Danielle, and Jason (roommate) having a year end party in the spring of 2000. Our faces look weird since this room was black other than the glow of a TV, before the flash lit us up.

carrie and me - Myself in Carrie's room in the winter of 2000. One of the last few decent pictures of me with my glasses.

me on my bed - I don't like this picture, but I am putting it here anyway. This is me on the day I moved bac to college in the summer of 2000. I was tired, dressed weirdly, and my room was a mess.

me and keyboard 1998 - This picture was taken by Misfit I believe at a gaming (Quake 1) LAN party the summer of 1998. This was near the end as I was packing up my stuff.

summer cpl '98 - In the summer of 1998, I helped as head volunteer admin for the CPL, a gaming competition organization. This was in Dallas. I am the one near the center in the black, looking to the left.

an iowa winter - Monday of Finals Week in winter 2000, we had a snow storm. It was a whole one degree out that day, a very fun temperature. And that's without the -30 wind chill.

snowy drive - Taken in the winter of 2001, January 4th I believe, while I was driving home. Not the best of conditions, but pretty typical for Iowa.

the seal - This is the seal that has replaced my penguin as the stuffed animal that is not only my mascot on trips, but goes with me almost anywhere significant. I used to carry my penguin in my bag outer pouch with me, but he fell out while jogging one day for no good reason. I couldn't find him.
