personality tests

I love personality tests. They give you a little more insight to the person that means the most in our lives..us. I'm not trying to sound conceited, and you may live not for yourself, but for someone else, but think about it. If you weren't you, or I weren't me, would we even be in this position to begin with? Would we even exist in the same way that we know now? What makes us us has been over and over grouped and categorized and analyzed and the result is a plethora of personality tests and quizzes which you can take. I mostly take them to find out more about myself, to see if I'm on the path I want to be on.

One thing I do heavily keep in mind though with tests (or even horoscopes) like this, is that it's not the result I get that is important. It is just as important to look at the other results I could have gotten, and make sure they aren't worded in such a way that I would say "Gee, this fits me," to all of them. Incidentally, this is how most horoscopes are set up.

This test is a variation of the The Keirsey Temperament Sorter II and can be taken online. Once you've taken the tests, look up the various personality types more in depth. This site used to be the real test, but you need to pay for it now (this may have changed), but the types are still up for everyone to look at. I've taken this test numerous times, usually about once a year whenever I remember. No matter how much I change, this same result comes up. It's the same result people familiar with the test and me think I would be and the description fits me almost uncannily well for the level detail in the descrptions. They could have been asking me for a personal essay about myself. Here's my results.
