philosophy

In short: Happiness for yourself is the goal of life. Be happy. If you are not happy, there are only two things you can do: change what is making you unhappy, or if you are unwilling or unable to change your situation, then change your outlook on it. Happiness, however, is a delicate balance between yourself, other people, and the environment. Spirituality is key; know yourself, commune with yourself.

essentials

I was born in November, 1977.
I was born and lived in Sioux City, Iowa for some 20 years.
I graduated from Iowa State University in 2001.
I started out in Environmental Science.
But ended up in Management Information Systems.
I am an only child.
I am 6 foot tall.
I used to drive an '85 Chevy Blazer.
It was handed down from my step-dad.
I now drive an '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
I bought this one myself.

sports

I played, I think, 5 years of youth soccer.
I played about 4 years of tee-ball, and 4 years of baseball.
I hated all of those years.
I wonder what it would have been like had I done HS football.
I now work out about twice a week.
I love raquetball.
I hate playing basketball and refuse to do it.
Most college sports beat pro sports.
I most enjoy watching tennis, soccer, and sumo wrestling.
Yes, sumo wrestling.
I believe in a healthy lifestyle.

social life

Social life? (I'm kinda anti-social I think)
I prefer a few close friends versus many semi-close friends.
I believe in trust, honesty, and respect.
My best friend ever has been Chad.
I drink a lot, but have never truly been drunk.
I am the quiet one in the corner watching everyone else.
I enjoy dates.
I am shy.
But yet, get past the thin outer shell, and I am quite open.
Being social is overrated, but still fun at times.
Living through others, or for others, is not fun.

likes

I love working out. Meditation in physical exertion.
I love my senses.
I love feeling the cold wind in my face;
   grass under toes;
and the blueness of the sky.
Our senses, our feeling lets us know we are truly alive.
I love cats. There is no more perfect an animal.
I love expression, aesthetics, and beauty.
I love myself. I believe in being self-centered.
I love learning.
I love intimacy.
I love solitude.
There are times when being alone is best and cherished.
Life is a learning experience. Learning about yourself.
I love anyone who can back up their beliefs with sound reasoning
   of their own viewpoint.

relationships

No I won't talk about previous encounters.
I never break trust with friends or girlfriends, ever.
Most of my ex-girlfriends are still great friends.
I believe in sex as love and as physical gratification.
I believe in honesty and communication.
I believe in dating, and seduction, and letting someone know you are still
pursuing her, up to and beyond marriage.
No, I've never been married or engaged.
I believe in intensity.
I believe in shallowness too.
I have a lot of beliefs.
I do not find it necessary to convince anyone of your religion.
The ones with the most doubt are the ones who are the most fanatical
and force their own beliefs on others.
If the rest of the world believes as I do,
   it must be right...right?...right?
There is such a thing as true love, but not quite in the
   "love at first glance" flavor.
It is my opinion, even as much as society backlashes against it,
sex and appearance are indeed factors in love.
No, I do not think Cindy Crawford is all that attractive.
Nor Pamela Andersen.
How did beliefs get into the sex heading?

hates

I hate people using my computer without permission
(if I know, then it's ok... weird huh...).
I hate two-faced people.
Say what you mean, mean what you feel.
I hate speeders. In town, you gain what, 10 seconds?
I hate how easy it could be to die on the road.
(I do like driving though, odd...)
Since when did "speed limit" become 'speed recommended?'
I hate people who think their signal light is for letting people know
they're turning after they've already slowed down and started turning.
I hate people who never take "no" seriously.
I hate that it is so easy to hate things.
I hate heat...or is that humidity?
I hate blind, habitual religious followers.
I hate credit card telemarketers. I tell them "Michael's dead."
I hate most medicine that is not 100% necessary. Aspirin is half
   psychological anyway.
I hate seeing so many stupid "not my fault" lawsuits.
I also think most men are stupid.
Machoism should be shot, whoever he is.
