I don't actually ever recall having a distinct links page before, but, now I have one under the Passions header up top. One item to note is that I don't link to friends or anything, mostly because I'll invariably leave some out, and I don't want it to become some sort of issue with anyone at all. Besides, I'm a private person and all that jazz. What links I do put up are mostly links to large sites or information that is useful.

I am one of those people who does not call my website a blog (short for weblog), and never will. One major characteristic of a blog is to link to as many friends as possible, as this appears to be some gauge as to how successful and popular a "blogger" is. I plan to never play that rat race of a game by simply not taking that characteristic to this site. My site is a personal web site or a journal, nothing more. :)

I am trying very hard not to add content, and in fact, take away content. That expanding link bar on the right I love to death, but I think the novelty of it has run its course. I'll be taking off the Quotes section of the site (all the quotes randomly appear here anyway) and replacing it with a small Links section. As always, the links are largely just for my benefit, as it gives me a sort of "portal" to view the places that I frequent.

Just making a note, mostly to myself, that I've been cleaning up the pages a bit more. Having not looked at them in almost a year, I'm finding the odd little issue and (annoyingly) occassional typo. Also, I'm cutting out, rearranging, or editing the information here to be more concise and clear. When I finished these pages up well over a year ago, I ended up with more information (and pages) here than I truly wanted. Since then, I've been slowly trimming the fat away, getting rid of what I don't want up here...sadly, some of it is here just to have it here if I ever need it 4 years down the road...or ever want to read it again.

Well, now I remember why I liked having posts in my page...because the main area acts as a placeholder for the page size...and if it is not long enough, the links cannot expand on the right.

I'll have to fix that someday soon. :)

I have created a new page with a list of the movies that I own.

Well, if you're seeing this post, that means my web page is up at the moment.

Rather than configure and put up my new server, I have the old server back up since it was pretty much all configured....that and I ordered the wrong RAM for my even older box that will be the new web server. So I'll muddle through setting it up this weekend with lacking RAM, and put it in and swap the servers next week when the new RAM gets in.

Anyway, that was far too techie for a "first post back," but to be honest, I know that after I make this post the news script will realize how old these posts are, and pretty much only display this one post...making my page look very barren...course, I deserve that, having been offline for nae a year now...wow...

Now to update my movies...
